Akito Nagao / Trail Runner

Born in 1988, Akito Nagao is originally from Tochigi Prefecture and now lives in Hadano, Kanagawa. A father of three, he is a trail runner and YouTuber known for his vlog series “Tada Hashiru Dake no Doga” (Just Running Videos).
With more than 30 years of running experience, Akito began as a sprinter through high school and later discovered marathon running during university. In the winter of 2013, he suffered an IT band injury that limited his running for several years. However, during a trail run from Mt. Takao to Mt. Jinba with members of a local running club, he realized he could run without pain—an experience that gradually led him into the world of trail running.
He entered his first trail race, Three Peaks Yatsugatake Trail, in 2015. Since then, he has steadily increased his race distances and joined “Team 100 Mile,” organized by OSJ, in pursuit of his ideal 100-mile performance. Akito continues to challenge a wide range of disciplines—from trail races to marathons and track meets—with the goal of running faster, stronger, and in his own style.
